The Lambs
America's Oldest Professional Theatrical Club, Established in 1874
I was first brought to The Lambs by Fred Kelly, brother of Gene, friend, teacher and early mentor of mine. (Read Fred's Bio) In late 1980 I was convinced to join by Lewis Hardee, then a teacher at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and dear friend for many years. At first the Club was merely a stop-off point before the long trek home, but eventually the Club became my second home, and its members my extended family. Over the years I have honed my acting, singing and directing skills through the various productions and events of the Club. I have been privileged to be twice elected as an officer currently serving the membership to my best. To read more about The Lambs, follow the link below to its web page. But note, The Lambs is not connected to the Church of the Nazarene, nor located at The Lamb's Theater on West 44th Street in Manhattan. That building was our former home and sold in 1973 to the Church. Our historical theater club is alive and enjoying its quarters near Radio City Music Hall and St. Patrick's Cathedral.
